European and French regulatory news impacting cosmetics

Paris

A conference of experts

A conference of experts

Mark your calendars now for March 26 and 27, 2025, for exchanges between experts and authorities on French, European and international regulatory news for the cosmetics industry.

In recent years, regulatory pressure on cosmetics companies has intensified significantly. In addition to cosmetics regulations, there are chemical regulations, environmental regulations and, in the case of exports, international regulations.

For the past 25 years, COSMED, as the privileged interlocutor of the French and European authorities in charge of the cosmetics sector, has been offering an in-depth analysis of this regulatory “superposition” at its annual Regulatory Congress, and sharing with the authorities and partner associations the interpretations essential for proper integration into companies.

Cosmed Regulatory Congress: 350 participants – Reserve your space March 26-27, 2025

This Congress is one of the largest gatherings of cosmetics manufacturers to discuss regulatory issues. Over the course of 2 days, company directors and managers from regulatory affairs, research and development, toxicology and quality engineering can discuss their issues with regulatory authorities, partner associations and other industry professionals, while learning about future challenges.

On the French and European front, the participation of the DGCCRF and the European Commission with Sylwia JACZEWSKA will provide an exhaustive checklist of regulatory priorities and issues for the months ahead.

On the international front, the exclusive participation of Meredith Petillo, Vice-President of the IBA (American Association of Cosmetic SMEs), will offer unrivalled expertise on the export of cosmetic products to the United States, which accounts for 12.8% of market share, making this country the world’s second largest market after Europe.
